I’LL FLY AWAY

Copper, gold and rust shimmer on the surface and within the heart sculpture, which lifts off the canvas like a wing. It represents the deep sorrow experienced as my father laid in hospice, and the struggle to find beauty and hope after those dark days. We each fly away, and though there is grief, there is also freedom and expectation that we will meet again.

I’ll Fly Away would be a sweet addition above a bedside table, as the centerpiece in a larger collection, or in a counseling setting.
